About me!

For my first blog post I thought I’d tell you a little bit about myself and my background. I’m Sarah and I was born in Pennsylvania. I moved to Texas when I was a child and have been here ever since. My love of photography began in high school where I discovered the joy of taking a photo and then developing it in a dark room (yes, I’m that old!). My mother always told me I should be a photographer but I didn’t think it was a practical career choice. Little did I know! Moms are always right. In college I struggled to find a career that interested me so I took a break and went to work. That’s when I discovered my passion for photography. Three years later I graduated with my B.F.A. in photography from the University of North Texas. I took a job at a renowned photography studio in Fort Worth. For eight years I photographed weddings and special events while managing the studio. It’s so exciting to finally realize my dream of owning my own business! I want to capture the sweet life moments after the wedding as families change and grow.
